Developers often create small building blocks of code that solve one particular problem and then “package” this code into a local library following NPM guidelines.

Join us this Thursday, February 8th at 4pm CET and learn:

This video shows how Clarive can deploy War files to Tomcat, .Net applications to Windows servers and Mainframe Endevor packages with a Single Pipeline.

In the early stages, deployment is done for each technology separate(WAR, .NET, Mainframe) but for the production deployment, all 3 technologies are deployed to 3 different platforms with a single job.
All deployments are done with a SINGLE pipeline rule.

Watch the video here:

This way consistency during deployment is guaranteed.

3 Technologies(Java, .Net, Cobol programs in Endevor packages, 3 platforms (Tomcat on Linux, MS Windows server and mainframe), 3 environments(DEV, QA, PROD) deployed with jobs generated by a SINGLE pipeline rule.

The Pipeline rule can be extended with other technologies(Siebel, Sap, mobile apps), addtional environments(User acceptance, PreProd) and addtional platforms(Ios, Android)

With this Clarive is offering and end to end view on the release process, with extended dashboarding capabilities and easy tool navigation…

Open DevOps 2017: change, collaboration, improvements and much more

The second edition of Open DevOps has just successfully concluded. This year the event took place in Milan and Rome respectively on May 16th and 18th.

The gathering was attended by international speakers and representatives from different organizations to debate the key concepts of DevOps and, in particular, what is the best strategy to adopt a highly debated but seldom used methodology.

From the international speeches it emerged that the train of change already started in many Companies. To reach it out, it is now necessary to introduce tools, strategies and change to people’s mindsets.

Speaker’s face-to-face: practical cases

International speakers brought on the stage examples of how they changed their client’s IT through the implementation of DevOps solutions.

In the afternoon, 20-minute one-to-one meetings took place to answer specific questions by the participants within the context of their particular organizations.

  • Carlos Sanchez Gonzales, Technical Engineer at CloudBees
  • Ilkka Turunen, Solution Architect at Sonatype
  • Eddy Pauwels, SVP Sales & Marketing at Clarive Software
  • Guillermo Villarrubia, Service & Presales Manager at Kiuwan
  • Yaniv Yehuda, Co-Founder and CTO at DBmaestro.

If you need to change your organization, people must change their mindset first”: let’s start from Digesting DevOps

At the end of the demo of Dev and Ops tools, introduced during the morning by the speakers, Rainfellows presented the Digesting DevOps. In a very funny and playful way, the two Lean and Agile experts, showed how to change people’s mindset towards intense cooperation between different organizational units.

In conclusion, Open DevOps has been an event of shared experiences, tools, strategies and cultural changes, which all together set the step-by-step way to the DevOps.
